We found Heritage Rhodesian Ridgebacks on an internet search for regional breeders. We had said goodbye to our 3rd Rhodesian earlier in the year, and were ready to bring another wonderful Rhodesian into our home and family. In addition to her beautiful dogs, what really first attracted us to contact Mary Brinkman at Heritage Rhodesian Ridgebacks was how extensive her vetting application was. This is an important quality we look for, and it was clear from the extensive and thoughtful questions that Mary’s focus was ensuring that her dogs found a loving and safe home. Although we didn’t expect to receive our amazing puppy from her recent litter, we planned a trip out to visit Mary and her dogs to give her a chance to meet us in person. Mary and her Rhodesians immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable in their home. Her dogs are not only gorgeous but they have such amazing temperaments and energy about them. We knew immediately that this was the home we wanted our next Rhodesian to come from. As luck would have it, one of the male Rhodesians from her litter became available and we rushed back to Arizona to bring our little Tokalion home. Just like his mother and his father, this little guy has the most amazing temperament and personality. Our previous 3 Rhodesians were wonderful dogs, but this little guy just continues to amaze us every day. He has such a warm and playful temperament, but yet is so anxious to please and do what we ask of him. He’s still a puppy and prone to sneaking into trouble, but he is so responsive and immediately settled into the family with our other two dogs. Working with Mary was also such a positive experience, and made the transition to bringing Tokalion to our home so smooth. She handled everything with such professionalism, and we continue to remain in close contact with her …. .sharing pictures and the adventures of this amazing little guy. We already have plans to return for a reunion with Mary, her girls and siblings next year. We can not be more enthusiastic in our recommendation of Mary Brinkman and Heritage Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and would recommend her highly to anyone searching for a wonderful Rhodesian Ridgeback to join their family!
